[C]de, one of 43oh’s newest members posted a simple Launchpad to breadboard trick. This is only possible when a 14pin Value Line device is connected to the Launchpad.
Jumper under the board:
GND to P2.3
p1.7 to p2.4
p1.6 to p2.5
Now jumper on top of the board on the female header:
p2.3 to p2.2
p2.4 to p2.1
p2.5 to p2.0
Now you have an entire 8-bit port on one side. Use a 10pin cable on one side to interface J1 to a breadboard. Thanks [C]de!
You can view his thread here. Another Launchpad breadboard expandable tip is here.

Neat way to put the entire port out.
Another way to get to the breadboard would be to pluck the chip and put that straight onto the breadboard and just jumper the programming wires from the launchpad and use it as a FET.
There aren’t actually any value devices with more than 14 pins out yet, are there?
There are actually some DIP20 value line devices documented on TI’s website, but I’m not seeing that any of them are available for sample or purchase yet.

Yes, by now they have announced some
Or you could use angled header and plug your LP into breadboard. I have pictures but cannot attach here.
