Solar Energy Harvesting Development Kit Half Off and a Free EZ430-RF2500 Target at TIDeals.com

Zborgered let us know about this week’s TI Deal which is one heck of a deal with a nice package. You get the EZ430-RF2500-SEH Solar Energy Harvesting Development kit at 50% off and the EZ430-RF2500 bundled free – batteries included! That gives you a total of 3 wireless RF2500 target boards for $74.50 with free expedited shipping. This also makes a very good beginner’s kit. The kits come with a MSP430F2274 microcontroller and CC2500 2.4-GHz wireless transceivers. You can discuss the deal in the Forum’s Deals thread.

Get the deal here.

The eZ430-RF2500-SEH is a complete Solar Energy Harvesting development kit to help create a perpetually powered wireless sensor network based on the ultra-low-power MSP430 microcontroller.

The Solar Energy Harvester module includes a high-efficiency solar (2.25×2.25”) panel optimized for operating indoors under low-intensity fluorescent lights, which provides enough power to run a wireless sensor application with no additional batteries. Inputs are also available for external energy harvesters such as thermal, piezoelectric, or another solar panel.

Features:

  • Efficient solar energy harvesting module for the eZ430-RF2500
  • Battery-less operation
  • Works in low ambient light
  • 400+ transmissions in dark
  • Adaptable to any RF network or sensor input
  • Inputs available for external harvesters (thermal, piezo, 2nd solar panel, etc.)
  • USB debugging and programming interface with application backchannel to PC
  • 18 available analog and communications input/output pins
  • Highly integrated, ultra-low-power MSP430 MCU with 16-MHz performance
  • Two green and red LEDs for visual feedback
  • Interruptible push button for user feedback
What’s Included:
  • 1x eZ430-RF2500-SEH kit @ 50% off!
  • Two eZ430-RF2500T wireless target boards
  • One eZ430-RF USB debugging interface
  • One AAA battery pack with expansion board (batteries included)
  • One SEH-01 Solar Energy Harvester Board
  • One MSP430 Development Tool CD containing documentation and development software
  • 1x eZ430-RF2500T FREE!

TI will drain my pockets. But as mentioned, this is a really good deal. 43oh, You forgot the TI deals link.

  2. Yes, lately I’ve been spending a good bit with TI. But it’s not too shabby since you get a whole lot of hardware for the price of 1 arduino. haha

Can you see the coupon code? I can’t seem to find it anywhere on the webpage…

    It’s not a free RF2500 -KIT-, it’s a free RF2500 target board, no?

  5. If you attend the TI Technology Days, you can get a eZ430-RF2500-SEH for $2.98 including shipping!

    • I just missed mine by a day. I wish TI would send a newsletter out.

    • “If you attend the TI Technology Days, you can get a eZ430-RF2500-SEH for $2.98 including shipping!”.

I attended, but did not see that offer. Was it in the bag?

      • Attendees received a coupon in the bag for purchasing TI tools at the TI eStore.

        • Yes, I got that coupon, but it was not limited to the eZ430-RF2500-SEH. The one I got can be used for any development tool.

Great deal, I would encourage anyone that can make it to attend.

Also I attended the workshop where one gets hands on experience with the launchpad and the capacitive touch sensor. Excellent free training.

I visited the Tech Day in Germany, but unfortunately, there were no coupons in the bag.
Is it a universal coupon code or is it personalized?
          Thanks.

  6. Wow, $2.98!?

How much is the fee for the Technology Day?

I was just about to moan about it being US only for the dev days, but then spotted Birmingham (UK) on Dec 7. Still a bit far for me to travel, but good to know they’re happening round the world.
